The NanoHeroNetwork test bench and editorial desk in Fitzroy

Who we are

Started in a Fitzroy sharehouse, still run out of one.

We began in 2017 as a Discord full of arguments about frame data. Nine years later NanoHeroNetwork.space is a proper publication — but the rule hasn’t changed: we only review a game after we’ve actually rolled credits or logged 30+ hours on it.

No sponsored scores, no affiliate-padded lists. Our office is a converted terrace on Johnston Street, our test bench runs everything from a launch PS5 to a scuffed Steam Deck, and our comments section is genuinely worth reading.

Deep-dive reviews
1Step 1

Deep-dive reviews

Scored out of 100 after a minimum 30-hour playthrough. Every review lists our hardware, patch version, and whether we paid for the copy — so you know exactly what shaped the verdict.

2Step 2

Speedrun & strategy guides

Route breakdowns, boss timing charts, and optimisation guides written with the runners who actually hold the records. Updated within 48 hours of a meta-shifting patch.

Local esports coverage
3Step 3

Local esports coverage

On-the-ground reporting from Melbourne LANs and the VIC Invitational at Collingwood — player interviews, bracket recaps, and the storylines the big sites skip.

The team

Five people, far too many controllers.

A tiny editorial crew based between Fitzroy and Collingwood. Drag the row or use the arrows to meet everyone.

What the community says.

Their Hollow Ascent review talked me out of a day-one refund and into 80 hours. The hardware notes alone are worth the subscription.

The sub-40 route guide shaved four minutes off my personal best in a weekend. Actually written by someone who runs the game.

Only site that covered the VIC Invitational properly. Felt like being at Collingwood without leaving the couch.

No inflated scores, no affiliate junk. I trust their 7/10 more than a 9 anywhere else.
